PAW armchair, Zenith production, swivel wooden base, fiberglass shell

A magnificent rare all original PAW with its specific swivel system added to the wooden base.

This model was created  by The Eames in 1948 in order to receive a double function : it could be use as a desk armchair swiveling and as a dining or living room armchair. 

Here, a second generation production armrchair manufactured by Zenith Plastics and distributed by Herman Miller by 1951. 

Nice fiber and parchment color becoming translucent with the light. 

Superb condition, very  few defects, never restored, all original from base to screws.

Especially rare.  For the most demanding collectors.
