In this landscape, dated from 1918, where the geometry of the lines (of the trees and roofs) is so important, the Cezanne influence upon Leopold Survage is obvious through composition and sweet colours choice.
Still representational this nice work created at a turning point shows perfectly how Survage came to Cubism. Very interesting.
