Fine miniature on ivory representing a superb portrait from the end of 18th century of a french man with magnificent green eyes and a hairstyle called in french « à la Titus ».
This kind of hairstyle inspired by Titus roman emperor began in 1792 from a Talma representation at theater and was fashionable during french Revolution and Directoire period until 1st Empire.
