Very important Sonia Delaunay’s lithograph, titled “Le soleil noir”, black sun in English.
A spectacular original lithograph signed at pencil by the artist and numbered, rythmed by fabulous colors with concentric forms stopped here by vertical rectangles. Her so specific half circles in vibrant colors tell her vision of the movement of the light, here the sun and her personal vision of art. An artwork so representative of the Sonia Delaunay‘s “simultaneism”.
Created in 1974, Sonia Delaunay gave a proof of this lithograph two years later to Centre Pompidou, the Art modern Museum in Paris. An additional evidence of the importance gotten by “le Soleil noir” into the work of this genious of modern art.
